Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that promote early childhood growth and development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages creativity, independence, and exploration.
- Observe, assess, and document developmental milestones while communicating progress with families.
- Lead classroom activities aligned with Primrose’s Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Provide mentorship and support to assistant teachers and interns.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping young children learn, grow, and thrive.
- Ability to create a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early education best practices.
- Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers.
